Our Rich History
River Roads Lutheran School offers quality Christ-centered education and inspires students to become Christian leaders of the future. We engage ‘hands on learning’ experiences to students in grades Tiny Tots and Pre-Kindergarten through 8th through its integration of offering 21st century learning strategies through S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) projects/activities. River Roads has been recognized by National Accreditation Organizations since 2004 and has continued to be a ‘beacon of light’ within the Baden (North St. Louis) community since 1869. We offer low teacher to student ratios, which allow for more individualized instructions. We offer extra-curricular academic and learning activities which help enhance the mainstream curriculum. Teachers are encouraged to give students ‘hands on learning’ experience by taking them outside of the classroom. Students are required to excel in core subjects by mastering the skills of the core subjects. Students are encouraged to apply their knowledge, skills and abilities to become Ambassadors, peer tutors, student-athletes, junior leaders, musicians, etc.
After school tutoring is offered by the classroom teachers throughout the school year. On average, students who attend River Roads from early childhood age to graduation tend to score two or more grade levels above on the national standardized achievement test.
River Roads has a wide, range of individuals who have graduated and is very successful in their chosen career path. Currently, we are seeking Alumni of River Roads to be part of its Alumni organization. River Roads is a RSO (Registered Service Organization) of the Lutheran Church MO Synod. River Roads families must pay a monthly tuition amount, but financial assistance to all families who qualify is always offered.

PURPOSE STATEMENT OF RIVER ROADS...
Christian education at River Roads Lutheran School guides the child in the development of their spiritual, intellectual, physical, social and emotional potentialities on their level according to their God-given abilities.
